The most important things first, in three sentences: lowflow is an exercise app for the Buteyko method and not a medical device. Measuring, your path and your history are free; everything else is part of Premium. You buy Premium through Apple or Google and cancel it there too.

Who provides lowflow

lowflow is provided by AtemFlow GbR, Borngasse 10, 09599 Freiberg, Germany. All further details are in the legal notice (Impressum).

What lowflow is

lowflow helps you measure your Control Pause, practise according to a plan and understand the Buteyko method. lowflow is not a medical device. It does not make diagnoses and does not replace an examination or treatment.

Practising safely

• Never in water, never while driving and never on a bike. Breath holds only where nothing can happen to you.
• Stop immediately if you feel dizzy, have palpitations, a headache or tingling. Then simply keep breathing calmly through your nose.
• Pregnant? Then stay with gentle exercises without breath holds.
• Ask first, then practise: if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, panic, epilepsy, type 1 diabetes or other pre-existing conditions, check with a doctor beforehand.
• If asthma makes you short of breath, your emergency plan with your inhaler comes first. Never change your medication yourself, not even if your Control Pause goes up.

Free, trial and Premium

• Free: measuring your Control Pause, your path, your history, the emergency exercise and everything about practising safely.
• Trial: the first time you tap something from Premium, you can try everything for 7 days, without a card and without a subscription. The trial is available only once.
• Premium: breathing plan, all exercises, the knowledge section and your form. You buy it as a monthly or yearly subscription in the App Store or on Google Play. The prices the store shows you before purchase apply.
• With AtemFlow Studio: with an active Studio membership, Premium in lowflow is included at no extra cost for as long as the membership runs.

Subscription and cancellation

The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Purchase, payment, renewal and cancellation run through Apple or Google. Their terms also apply there; for the App Store, Apple's Standard License Agreement. You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.

Your account

An account is optional. It is the same account as for AtemFlow Studio. Keep your password to yourself. You can delete your account at any time, see Delete account.

With an account you can back up your data. If you choose “With your own code” for this, you are responsible for the code yourself: without the code and without your old phone we cannot restore your backup.

Content

Texts, exercises, recordings, videos and images in lowflow are protected by copyright. You may use them for yourself personally, but not pass them on or publish them. Anything you share using the app's share function is exempt from this.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). In cases of slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an essential obligation, and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage.

Changes

We keep developing lowflow. If these terms change significantly, we will tell you in advance in the app or by email.

Law and disputes

German law applies. If you are a consumer and live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions there. We do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and are not obliged to do so. It is best to send questions and complaints directly to support@atemflow.de.
